Page Settings

To access page settings, navigate to the page you wish to modify, and click on the Settings Link in the Page Functions area on the left side of the control panel.
 

Basic Settings


In this section, you can set up the basic settings for this page. 

Page Details

Page Name:

This is the name of the Page. The text you enter will be displayed in the menu system.  
Page Name Is Required 


Page Title:

Enter a title for the Page here. The text you enter will be displayed in the browser window title.  

Description:

Enter a description about this page, when a search is preformed on your site or through a search engine, this short discription will show.


Key Words:

Enter some keywords for this page (separated by commas). These keywords are used by search engines to help index your site's pages.  


Parent Page:

Select the page that you would like this page to be a child of.   This makes the page a subpage of the parent page that is listed.  If it is left as "<None Specified>" it will automatically be listed on the main menu for the website.


Permissions:

Choose the groups of people that can view and administer this page.  Too add new groups, please see Working With Security Roles.


 Advanced Settings

In this section, you can set up more advanced settings for this page.  Click on the plus sign to expand the settings.


Appearance

Icon:

You can choose an icon that can be used in the menu.  Depending on the skin, this logo will be displayed in the upper left hand corner.


Page Skin:

The selected skin will be applied to this page.


Page Container:

The selected container will be applied to all modules on this page.


Hidden:

When the page is marked as hidden it does not show up on the menu. However, you can still link to the page based on its page URL.  


Disabled:

If the page is disabled it is not available to users of the site. You can use this option to suppress content that you might wish to show at a later time.

  
Refresh Interval (seconds):

Enter the interval to wait between automatic page refeshes. (Example: Enter "60" for 1 minute or leave blank to disable.)  

 
Page Header Tags:

Enter any tags (i.e. META tags) that should be rendered in the "HEAD" tag of the HTML for this page.


Other Settings
 
Start Date: and End Date:

Enter the start date for displaying this page. You may use the Calendar to pick a date.    You may also choose a date that the page would no longer be displayed (the End Date:).  After the end date, it will automatically disable itself.

 
Link Url:

If you would like this page to behave as a navigation link to another resource, you can specify the Link URL value here, as well as a page and file. Please note that this field is optional. 


Moving Pages

You may find you wish to move a page to a different location in the menu, or make it a sub-page of another page.  To control where pages appear in the heirarchy, go to Admin->Pages. 

This will open a view of your site structure.  Click on the page you wish to move and use the up, down, left and right arrow buttons on the right to move your page to its new position.  You do not need to save these changes; they update automatically.

 Under Actions, you can choose to edit a page's settings by clicking on , or edit the content on the page by clicking on .
